​FIRST WE FOCUS ON CONTEXT:


Leadership development is NOT a one size fits all approach. What are the few competencies that if developed and honed, practiced and mastered, would have a significant, quantifiable and fulfilling impact on you, your team and your organization?

We hold each individual in their respective context for growth as just the beginning of our holistic approach. The few (rather than a long list of complex) competencies may be general like improving coaching skills, honing negotiation skills, strengthening strategic thinking and decision making. Or they may be more specific like increasing influence with a specific division head, improving business development in the context of a specific client, or growth of a sustainability mindset to better deal with specific situations impacting their business and supply chains. Context is reverse engineered depending on the ultimate outcome desired be it, productivity, culture change, profitability, social impact... Our holistic approach focuses on individuals as people. We're about your personal evolution as a path to professional and organizational growth. 


NEXT WE FOCUS ON THE BEST WAY TO ACHIEVE RESULTS:

Sometimes a specific outcome requires stepping away from the office as a team or individual. While we know people generally retain only 10% of what they learn at any given time, the real transformation occurs with ongoing coaching and consulting. Sometimes quick access on the phone or sometimes in person, often a growth edge is having a leader be able to pause and ask for help before falling back into old patterns that lead to old results.

The exercise in having a trusted advisor on hand is a skill to improve in itself. Implementing leadership skills in real time with feedback and a new approach is often the best way to integrate the learning and growth. The key word is integrate. Building leadership and personal development programs into projects and new initiatives is one of the best ways to create behavioral change while promoting true integration.


THEN WE FOCUS ON MINDSETS:

Successful adoptation of any program requires discomfort and stretching our comfort zones. Changing the possibility paradigm requires stretching and often going deep within to find underlying beliefs, mindsets, thoughts, feelings, and assumptions.

The inquiry is not always easy when the focus is empowerment, moving forward, productivity and results. Until we find out what we need to build we often have to mine for the gap. Confidence, influence, sales, persuasion, negotiations, communications... improving these soft skills require a shift in mindset, being able to connect the dots and a willingness to see the situation differently.  Shifting mindsets leads to new behaviors that stick and if they don't we continue to find out why and how. We believe people can change when they have the holistic support and coaching they need- individually- to thrive.  


AND FINALLY WE MEASURE RESULTS:

Tracking results in a quantifiable and tangible way allows for deeper more challenging work. Transformation is not always comfortable, in fact if it is, it is not likely to produce the results you were seeking in the first place. It can be fast - depending how willing leaders are to get to the heart of the matter, hear the truth, see it, digest it, apply it and get it. Some tools for measuring are assessments before and after, 360 feedback, career development monitoring, and tracking the business impact. The important part is setting the metrics in advance and making sure systems are in place to track and measure results beyond participant feedback.
